The Royal Wedding |
|
The Royal Wedding is just 3 days away. The press coverage is insane and captures every move our Princess-to-be Kate makes. She is just fascinating to watch; so cool, calm and collected as hundreds of photogs surround her in a feeding frenzy. (Don't you love hearing she did her own make-up for her engagement photos? I do). I can't wait to watch these two tie the knot at 4AM this Friday - finally everyone will be awake when I am. I remember being 4 years old getting into my mom's bed with my sisters to watch Charles and Diana marry, also at 4 in the morning. Too bad my 9 month old will not appreciate this royal wedding as more than just a special feeding. This wedding certainly kicks off wedding season with a bang. Summer brides are working feverishly to differentiate their weddings as best they can. I can't wait to see what Will and Kate do that will possibly become "the norm." Today, you can plan to see overflowing candy bars, specialty cocktails, customized party favors, and a variety of surprises to keep guest entertained at a wedding. It is no longer just about the bride and groom. I just visited a friend's new party planning site (CT based), www.apolishedplan.com, and was delighted to see some of her creative touches to the traditional affair (take a peak). Have a friend getting married? Are you a bride-to-be? What special touches will you add? Possibly a customized photo mat or a signature candy? Visit us on facebook and tell us your ideas. |
